Smells like Bean Spirit

Christmas 2007 is for me very different from the earlier. I don’t know either this Christmas is better or worse. I have happiness but also sadness. The point is : i am in Germany now.

For the first time in my life, i see what people said about White Christmas. Everywhere is covered with white color, trees, roofs, roads, etc. The weather is very cold (a German will read it BAD). All shops are decorated with Christmas stuff. Christmas market, Christmas concert, Christmas … (all things that i watched before on TV :D)

But… the condition is not so friendly with me. I live with a “non Christian” family. My uncle has nothing i called “faith”. I have already many friends here from my German course. But most of them go back to their country (since the cost is not so expensive compared to the flight to Indonesia). The others have a special program with their family or their relations here. And as i guess before, i was alone!

Finally i went into a church in central of Munich. The name is Frauenkirche. There are also several churches around. The reason why i choose this church is simple : timetable of the Mass was hanged at the gate. Since i don’t know the time of another churches (i thought that it would be in the midnight), 10 o’clock was fit to me. ^^
So i came, and i sat there, in the Frauenkirche. I had visited few churches in Munich before. So, i wasn’t really shocked by the amazing interior of this church. The classic Europe style, the relief, the carving, all of them was so amazing.
But the most terrific one was the lightning and the music. The lightning system used the intensity level. They adjusted the bright based on parts of the Mass. The combination with two Christmas-trees delivered an amazing scenery. Hundreds times of flash-light from the visitors camera agreed with my opinion, i guess.
The music-choir and the sound system was the best i have ever heard. That was really not a normal choir in the church. That was even like a music concert. They was not only good in the choir, each individual is skillful. The music arrangement was not simple at all. The instrument was not only piano, but a complete orchestra! I almost couldn’t keep myself to make a standing applause. Yes, at least, although i was alone, i had an interesting experience.

So, the Christmas is over now. I saw finally the White Christmas. But without my family, my friends and my girlfriend (and my dog). I hope that one day i can celebrate the Christmas with them again. I will wait for that moment. Merry Christmas ^^
