If you like both science and reading comic, you may know the site http://xkcd.com. Just visit the site if you have time during the break time of your office hours. 
Like mentioned in the title “a webcomic of romance, sarcasm, math, and language”, you would find some romance and sarcastic humor in the site, and (hopefully) fetch some knowledge from it. I just read this “funny” comic strip about statistic:
